Welcome to Steven B. Dodge
Steven B. Dodge has always had an interest in landscape design and architecture. He, therefore, decided to form his own development company, Windover Development LLC (www.windoverllc.com), in 2003. Prior to this venture, though, Steven B. Dodge had a long, successful career in the entertainment industry.
Dodge started his career as a VP at Bank of Boston. As a vice president, Steven B. Dodge was in charge of commercial lending for motion pictures and cable television projects. Dodge found that he got the most enjoyment from projects that gave him the opportunity to explore his own interests and take a meaningful leadership role.
In 1978 Steven B. Dodge left Bank of Boston to start his own company, American CableSystems Corporation. American CableSystems grew quickly under Dodge’s leadership. Soon it became one of the nation’s top 20 cable television companies. The company was sold to Continental in 1988 for $450 million.
After selling American CableSystems, Steven B. Dodge set his sights on the radio industry. He founded American RadioSystems Corporation and used many of the same strategies that had made his previous company successful. By 1998, ARS was the ratings and revenue share leader in 19 of 20 US markets. The company merged with CBS Radio that year.
American Tower, formerly a subsidiary of ARS, was left as an independent company after the merger, so Dodge began to build this organization. Today it is recognized as the world’s leading owner and operator of communications towers. He left the company in 2003 to form Windover Development LLC.
Like his past pursuits, Windover Development LLC has been very successful. Some of its most impressive projects include the new student center and dormitory at Montserrat College of Art, Bank Gloucester’s new headquarters, and Wenham Hall at Endicott College.
Steven B. Dodge spends his free time focusing on land conservation, the environment, minority education, and philanthropy.
